Built in 1898 as the home of a gold baron, the house had been used over the years as a hunting lodge and boy’s camp, with periods of abandonment.  The property has been restored to its glory, including the additional of a new kitchen wing.  Randy and Christy both provided the vision and Randy was the general contractor.  The restoration has been featured on “A Home for Christy Rost – Thanksgiving”, airing nationwide on PBS.

The original foundation consisted of timber logs which had rotted and caused the house to sink up to 8" in places. 72 new concrete piers were added after replacing rotted perimeter logs.
